Mission Christmas with Wave 105 Cash for kids

Grace again supported the Mission Christmas Appeal with Wave105. We purchased some toys with the money that we had raised at Porchester, and collected items from the local area.

It did look like they may not reach their target this year. Last year they had 20,000 requests for help, this year it was over 22,000.

Grace's Dad (Darren) went out and bought £150 worth of items for them.

This year the Wave team hired a bus and went round the local area collecting donations and as the warehouse was 2minutes from our house we popped up there to help. We saw it come in and managed to help unload the bus, we then helped on a live Facebook appeal, with Rick Jackson, Michael Coombes, & Gary Parker.

Although Grace's Mum (Sarah) was not so sure of some of the camera angles (not flattering lol)

In the end Wave 105 Mission Christmas helped 22,288 children and Teenagers

Thank you & Gifts of Kindness

On Friday 22nd December Grace and her taxi (Sarah) went out very early to deliver Cakes, toys and Thank you gifts.

The first stop was Wave Towers to see Rick Jackson, Michael Coombes, Mark Collins & Gary Parker.

Then on to say Thank you to Staci & Mia and Amanda & Colin.

Then up to QA Hospital to deliver Homemade Cakes, Sweet treats and bags of kindness to the nurses and staff who were working.

We also delivered a big bag of toys kindly donated by Amanda & Colin Harding and activity packs to the Children's ward.

Then we delivered bags of kindness to houses around Horndean. Grace chose them by their decorations.

Christmas Market

On Saturday 25th November, Grace and her team braved the artic cold blast to set up the stall in Porchester Prescinct.

Our cunning plan to combat the cold was to sell hot drinks, we had kindly been loaned a generator and water urn. We overcame some last minute panic when we were not sure if we were going to be able to use the generator and turned up at 07.30 to start setting up.

After waiting for others to arrive we started to unload and transport all our stock, gazebo, urn, generator and banners and started the mission of setting up.

Unfortunately Grace's Dad (Darren) did not read the instructions on how to use the Tea Urn and shorted it out, we did try to reset it but to no prevail so we could not sell Hot Drinks and we were unable to huddle around the urn to keep warm.

We continue to set up and even without the hot drinks we still manage to raise £145, all sweets, most of the toys and all the Christmas items were sold.

June 2023

Charity Golf Day

We arrived at 07am on Sunday 25th June to set up the double Gazebo ready for a very hot and hopefully successful day.

After a lot of stress and changes we ended up with 35 golfers taking part, apart from a few hiccups with the tee off times, all golfers got off and as far as we could tell everyone had a great round.

Back at the stall we had a few issues as all of a sudden the wind picked up and took the gazebo's with it. Thank you to Staci & Mia who helped up take down the gazebo's and reset up.

Once everyone had finished and had managed to grab a drink, prizes were handed out and the raffle was drawn.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported us, we have raised £700 to be shared out.
